FSX ATC on different computer

Featured Replies

I have seen a video on youtube (some time ago) of a guy with quite a setup. One of the things I noticed was that he had his ATC on a seperate computer and screen. He even had the keys of the keyboard for that computer marked in different colors to be able to quickly interact with ATC.

Do any of you know whether this is possible with the standard FSX ATC and if so how?

Was this perhaps a different (ATC) product and if so, what product could that be?

At the moment my FSX PC is not configured in an English language (due to other work / persons on that PC) so spoken ATC is not an option at the moment.

Thanks in advance,

Theo

Probably using VoxATC - http://www.voxatc.com/Home.aspx or VATSIM. If you have dual monitors and run FSX in windowed mode, you can open up the ATC window and pull that window over onto the other monitor. It might be possible in full screen too as I know I can pull my GPS gauge over to the other monitor but I have to be careful not to try and resize the screen or click on any buttons as the screen will go black with the mouse icon showing it's running in the background. It works without problems in windowed mode.

Best regards,

Jim

Thanks for your answer Jim.

I don't fly in windowed mode, so there is always a possibility to drag the ATC screen to another monitor. But I was thinking about a small (numerical) keyboard that I could place somewhere in my simpit just to work with ATC. I will however have a look at the possibilities of VoxATC. I am planning on building a new FSX main computer and that one will be setup in English to be able to use FS2Crew and possibly also VoxATC.

Greetings,

Theo.
