Layers visibility with ASE

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

One way that I found to create a more realistic IMC condition into FSX is create some low visibility layers with the FSX default weather engine.

I use the ASE and I would like to do same using it, but the ASE doesn´t create more than one visibility layer.

There is one way to simulate difference visibilities with ASE?

Hi,

Please uncheck the "Disable Haze Layer" (visibility options tab) and you'll have multiple visibility layers as well as the normal FS haze effect.

Hi. I did it, but in the "Wx Config" window, only appears one setting box for visible. I would like to create several visible layers, of the same way that I can to create several clouds layers.

The Wx Config screen allows only one visibility layer setting. If you are trying to simulate IMC, we recommend setting visibility under 3 miles (i.e. 1SM) and using this with DWC and visibility graduation/smoothing. I'm not sure that setting multiple manual visibility layers would provide any better effect?
