IRIS F15 Eagle and F35 JSF

Featured Replies

I am trying to use the IRIS F15 Eagle and F35 JSF (the free versions) as AI planes, but I have one or two problems....

1. The F15 Eagle has afterburners on at all times (even when taxiing), and there are six "lights" on the leading edge of the wings (three on each side). How can I get rid of these? They are extremely annoying.

2. The F35 JSF exhibits "sparkling lights" all around it when taxiing. This is something to do with the jet exhaust vortex (which seems to be directed downwards when on the ground). I think that this is probably an old FS effect, because I had a similar problem with the Wilco Harrier. That was solved by removing two files....

fx_RCB_Smoke45.fx

fx_RCB_Smoke90.fx

However, the F35 JSF seems to need something else removing, but I do not know which file I need to delete! I have tried several individual files, but without success.

Can anyone help?

I am still having problems in this department. I seem to have eliminated the F15 afterburner action on the ground, but those weird, sparkly lights on the F15 wing leading edges, and also in a circular pattern around the F35 JSF are stubbornly refusing to get lost. These both disappear if I get very close to each plane, but the effects that they are related to can still be seen (some kind of swirling vortices on the wing leading edges of the F15, and the downward thrust vortex in the case of the F35).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
