I fixed my CTD's with ..........

Featured Replies

Flightsimmers,Maybe it's helpful to explain how I fixed my CTD's in COF.Four weeks ago I suddenly got many CTD's. I suspected that it had to be an add on scenery I installed recently. You have to know, I have many sceneries installed (35). I mostly fly in Europe with Airbis A320's and 321's from Amsterdam Schiphol to sunny locations in and around Europe, or UK, Sweden and Norway.I first saw a "Copy of xxx.BGL" file in a directory (stupid.... I did not rename it in *.BAK). I deleted this file. Then I checked all AF2 files in AFCAD. I saw some errors, and fixed them. I thought "this would fix my CTD's". But no. They went on. Then I did some tests by deleting one by one of my sceneries. No fix until then. Then I had an idea. I re-installed all of my sceneries, and controled all countries in Europe, in which I installed add on sceneries. Then I saw what my problem could be. In Greece I saw many AFCAD files above the stock airport file of COF (for example Heraklion). But at first I did not understand where these files came from, because all my AF2 files are installed in the default scenery directory.I investigated the matter, and saw in the HSP Greece scenery directory many AF files, but they were not named like AF2_....BGL, but they had other names. I also checked these files in AFCAD and saw errors, which I fixed, or I simply deleted them from the directory. And YESS, no CTD's anymore (KNOCK ON WOOD). Until now, I'm flying without CTD's. I even have better performance.Maybe my experience will help you folks. I think I will send an e-mail to the developers of HSP. Untill now I flying high again, to sunny destinations with the fine A320's of IFDG.Cheers,Jeroen
