July 17, 200421 yr Hi all, does anyone have a realistic cockpit environmental settings for FS2004? I remember when FS2004 came out there was a jpg download here on avsim which showed you how to setup the sound config in FS2004 to be more real from the cockpit. I showed what levels the envirornment, engines, ATC, nav......sounds should be at.Anyone remember? Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
July 17, 200421 yr I think the reason the sliders exist is so that you an vary it. Obviously there can't be a "one setting fits all", just adjust things if you need the ATC a bit louder, or the engines a bit quieter. Or make adjustments to provided sound files to suit your hardware or simming environment.Whatever settings you choose, they'll be the right ones! Having used both ANR and passive headsets in real GA aircraft over the years I've discovered that every aircraft sounds different, even with the same engine. Allcott
