Recording FSX with DXtory

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I just started using DXtory to record. And It is very very good. Im just wondering what a good file type would be. Im going to start recording some long flights probably about an hour long clip. And I want to know which file type will keep my quality and frames HIGH, while keeping the file size LOW.

So this question is to any big time screen recorders on the forums.

Right now I am using this Video codec in DXtory.

-Ut Video Codec yuv420 (ULY0) VCM x86

Along with these settings.

-Frame rate set to 30 fps

-File Output checked

-Avi file format

I dont know, maybe rawcap might be a better option, haven't tested it yet.
