FTX England & VFR London X Compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi All

I installed FTX England yesterday and even with VFR London layer at the top of my Scenery Library I'm getting water all over London. Any ideas?

Looks to me like you don't even have FTX EU England selected in the Orbx Configerator. You should have all of your FTX EU England sceneries at the top of your library if you did.

It seems you disabled the photoreal layers in London X.

If you don't use them, the exclude files in London X scenery will... exclude everything under it, including base terrain "drilling" down until find the water

To see the underneath terrain you have to rename two exclude files, cvxLONDONX4QMIDS2.BGL and exxLONDONX4QMIDS2.BGL, but it will no more exclude the buildings and autogen so you will have a bad mix of buildings.

To make them work together correctly I guess would be needed eliminate the London buildings by FTX.

I asked in ORBX forum but they replied me it's not possible as London is not contained in specific bgl files.

If someone could develop a custom exclude file would make me happy
