No FSX AI traffic sounds

Featured Replies

I recently did a clean install of FSX, I remeoved absolutely everything. Since I reinstalled it, the AI traffic sounds only played the FS9 traffic sounds (which has no sound cones), weird since this is FSX (0_o) So I found the sound files in the FSX/sound folder and deleted them. Now I have no AI sounds at all! In all the AI aircraft folders there is AI traffic sounds e.g. the default 737 has the folder "soundai" with all the sound files and cfg. inside, but no matter what I do there is no sounds playing in FSX.

Could anyone please help me :)

Also, I have tried using AI sound addons. They don't work either :(

Darn it, this doesn't work for me. Thanks for the suggestion though ;)

Any chance I could see the "sound" section of your FSX.cfg, just to compare against mine.

Thank you for your help with this frustrating problem :)

Also, welcome to the Avsim forums

Ok, so my sound section looks exactly like yours but still nothing! Im running Audio Environment aswell but that has nothing really to do with the problem since it's installed 100% correct, I have tirelessly tested that tons of times.

I'd say I'm missing some AI traffic info somewhere along, or some other sound section in another CFG.

Any more ideas???

Thanks :)

Well yes it has :) I don't know whats happened, it wasn't working now today everything is back perfect, normal.

It might of had to do with restarting the computer.

But your sound config definitely fixed it for me. Thank you so so much!
