November 19, 201213 yr Good Evening Gents. I currently having too low fuel flow issues with the wilco a330-300 , a340-300 and a340-600. Basically the fuel flow rates are too low, and I keep landing after long flights with far too much fuel and get told off by my VA management !!! Im using correct fuel figures/payload as im using the Real world pilots plogs. Ive listed below the "fuel flow scaler" in the [GeneralEngineData] section of the aircraft.cfg for each for each aircraft. I believe you can adjust this figure until you achieve the desired fuel burn rate for a "known" burn rate figure @ AUW/FL ISA. So if some clever sole can help me with this it would be great. A340-300 [GeneralEngineData] engine_type=1 Engine.0= 0.0, -30.0, -2.500000 Engine.1= -10.0, -68.0, -2.500000 Engine.2= 0.00, 30.0, -2.500000 Engine.3= -10.0, 68.0, -2.500000 fuel_flow_scalar=0.82127 min_throttle_limit=-0.7 A340-600 [GeneralEngineData] engine_type=1 Engine.0= 0.0, -30.0, -2.500000 Engine.1= -10.0, -68.0, -2.500000 Engine.2= 0.00, 30.0, -2.500000 Engine.3= -10.0, 68.0, -2.500000 fuel_flow_scalar=0.73 min_throttle_limit=-0.7 A330-300 [GeneralEngineData] engine_type=1 Engine.0= 0.0, -28.5, -2.500000 Engine.1= 0.0, 28.5, -2.500000 fuel_flow_scalar=0.6175 min_throttle_limit=-0.7
November 29, 201213 yr Hi I have some settings for the A340-300 aircraft.cfg you may want to try out: Under Flight Tuning: parasite_drag_scalar =1.15 induced_drag_scalar =1.35 elevator_effectiveness =0.8 aileron_effectiveness =0.6 Under TurbineEngineData: inlet_area=28.51 static_thrust=34000.000000 (for A340-313 and -313X) Under GeneralEngineData: fuel_flow_scalar=0.76 Under jet_engine: thrust_scalar = 1.00 Make a copy of the aircraft.cfg before doing anything to it. You should end up with an aircraft that will burn between ~6000 and ~8000kg, depending on cruise level. I hope you like these changes as much as I do. One of the Gents
