  1. so its only for people in the beta ?
  2. also with the do you have to turn off the asobo content in the content manager (for the strip) to use Glidescope Pro? thanks
  3. is there still no gsx file for Glidescope Pro KLAS yet ?? Can anyone do one just for stand E3 at Terminal; for me and ill buy them a couple of virtual beers !!
  4. Im not. I could give you a long list of payware items over the last 10 years that have been released half finished. Its all about quick cash and pressure from publishers or big devs Again as a community we never seem to learn.
  5. id say the minute orbx got involved and it was released suddenly it was a red flag. Id also not be happy if id bought it and I couldnt use it. When my mate bought it on day one (because of the hype) I told him to hold his horses and wait to see what the reviews from the community were as weve been bitten many times with this stuff. Same happened with EDDF when aerosoft got involved. This is yet another perfect example of product release way to early due to probably pressure from the publisher not the developer. Im more than happy to give devs credit where its due, (theres some good ones out there), but the minute I read orbx's were involved my better judgement told me it wasnt going to be ready on day one. Again we've all been here before many many many times., we dont learn as a community when we throw money at certain publishers on day one.
  6. its still baffles me how people are happy having unfinished pay to beta products (again) Its a carbon copy of the release mess that EDDF was and the 350 after months and years of hype. this reminds me of how people were happy to fly only in the day in p3d days because the dynamic lighting was so bad at night. now we have people happy with a product so long as they only use half the airport. I swear theres no other gaming community like this, that will so happily put up with half baked junk time after time like we do
  7. here we go again... it sells thats why. Umberto put that burger king girl in KORD some what ten years ago, and openly admitted that eye candy sells, then further on flytampa did the same, now Inibuilds have coined the same market. Back in the day you would slap "hd" on a product or called it "professional, deluxe, extra" or someother buzzword to sell it. Now you must put a modelled bus station at EGLL and the kids will buy it. No different to Inibuilds calling it "enhanced" or v2. The kids love that stuff.
  8. they miss a trick these guys do make a bit of cash do they
  9. They did exactly the same with their Australian airports and orbx true earth on xp12 Perfect example here of what aerosoft did with Frankfurt
  10. I'll wager a bet someone with an excel spreadsheet at orbx said it was time to release now just before kids holidays. It's been common place to release unfinished pay to beta for over a decade and each time this community lap it up
  11. It's difficult being right all the time. I had said right from the beginning it would be this new obsession for the kids to have useless stuff in terminals
  12. i thought the HS787 V2 was also due to come out ?
  13. again the size of the texture files are huge.. just like orbx YBBN pushing 21 gig or vram is nuts. sure you can sell that as Ultra HD textures or some guff but at the end of the day, thats nuts
  14. do you think it might be anything to do with the size of the texture files being 21.3 MB (22,370,272 bytes) each with the taxi signs PNG being 85.3 MB (89,479,168 bytes) ? this is the same as what happened to ORBX YBBN which is what made it a stuttering mess
  15. chris, this is the benefit of using xp12 and the google maps tool, aep and sim heaven. I prefer it over ms24 any day of the week, only issue is the lack of payware airports. anyways back to KATL
  16. good. Ill take better frames over burger king or 5 guys any day
  17. Hello sorry to bump on old post would you still recommend these settings with su5 ?? im still running at 120 hertz and half refresh rate etc etc
  18. agreed. but again I stand by my point that more eye candy means more sales. its a 10 year old concept which the likes of inibuilds and now orbx have cashed in on. Its a different market now, (even if people back in the old days were locking at frames at 10 to get cool screenshots)
  19. the fact the dev recommends that texture resolution is to be on ultra and then everyone is running out of vram is interesting..... I bet its chock full of stuff in the terminal that the kids like which is hammering the performance. Never forget eye candy sells copies, good performance does not.
  20. good feedback to hear. im tempted
  21. when I had worked in flight planning and each time a new person started , in order to show how bad the ATC is/was in the USA, Id ring up somewhere like Denver (where we didn't fly to) and say "hello I'm calling from Virgin Atlantic in London and Id like to request the CID number please for our flight VS706 (fictional) From Denver to London. They would then would then say "sure here you go its 892". Madness. We didnt fly to Denver and we didnt have a VS/VIR706 Id then ring another atc centre say in Texas and this time make up an airline, flight number and destination, just to see if they would give me a CID number. So id come up with some ridiculous UK airline name called "Air Sandringham" or "Buckingham Queen Airlines" something really stupid. Id put on a ridiculous over the top "british accent" call up Texas and ask for the CID number for the Buckingham 773. 9 times out of 10 they'd would give you a cid number and not even question it because they didnt want to look incompetent by saying, we dont have an Air Sandringham or a Buckingham 773 in the system. They would just give you a random number and youd thank them and hang up. so it doesnt surprise me the controller couldnt even get the callsign correct
  22. Another dev that seemily walks on water, but in reality they are a bit rubbish
