managed to do a very successful flight this morning into LGKO/KOS. The new turb effects on finals were brillant, I had problems getting it down on the deck. now just to throw another spanner into works. Sim was working completely fine until the little hotpatch after su5. Then no matter what i did it caused stutters, unplayable. I normally run at 120 hertz, I used to do the recommended 45fps and FG X2 to get it to 90fps and on my 5070ti with quite medium settings. rebar off - like I said worked fine , I also use aerotune (not autofps) and one could say it was working perfectly more or less........until that 5.1 patch, I spend the best part of the weekend trying EVERYTHING to get it to play with no joy. So at the point of reinstalling i took one last punt and but su6 beta on and tried that. Again no dice, it kind of worked vsync on to match the 120 hertz but I had to use FG X3 with a target 40 - hence being 40x 3=120. the FGx 3 on my 5070ti was causing terrible latency issues, so i spend hours and hours trouble shooting to no joy. Finally a link popped up for a recommended video on youtube for "smooth motion" which I never heard of - so a then a search of "smooth motion" lead me here - and this answer here - https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/smooth-motion-for-rtx-40xx-50xx-worth-it-for-msfs-testing-and-impressions/734426/28 So i now do the following 1.run the monitor at 120 hertz 2.(Adaptive half refresh rate),which means it will sync at 60Hz. 3.lock frames using riva tuner to 60 fps Turn off FG gen in the sim, and use DLSS QUALITY ON PRESET M Put on smooth motion in Nvidia Inspector it happily syncs at 60 fps - with some head room to spare and its smooth as can be (so far) alas Ive not heard of smooth motion, but after hours and hours of fiddlling around its seems to of worked. fingers crossed.

The kids want high frames not stability, so there you go, asobo have given what us the customer base wants. Long frames (or what ever its called) popping autogen and framegen tomfoolery and some hype and pizaz. Alas with it comes stutters and bad proformance unless you have a 4080 or 5080. So the new gammers can take lots of "cool hd screenshots" using there 8K stutter fest repaints and then post them all over discord and reddit before jumping back onto fortnite for a couple more rounds of deathmatch.. The markets changed, Its not a niche older mans simmers market anymore Its a gamers market and they looooooove high frames, hype, and twitch and couldnt care less about stutters. Heaven forbid you question, critise or complain anything about ms24 the normal gate holders will pop along and tell you how great it is. As ive often said. In my opinion - its a modern day "Getty Kouros" I think another good example is the upcoming release of a new game called "hell let loose vietnam" Something I was really interested in getting. In short was meant to release in June, they put it out to the market as a beta which exposed some issues, so they delayed it until August. A good honest sensible decesion. company specfic SOP - you can do it - Seat Belt signs on,, and mentioned in the welcome aboard PA from whoever is doing the PA, "that seat belts must not be fastened" (in case of a rapid disembarktion due fire, etc etc) its also country / airport specific too (and its related to the fire category of the airport.) - For example (from my memory of doing flight ops in short haul) in Greece if you refuel with pax on / boarding the fire truck must be present. Ive delayed countless flights due to the fire truck not being on station and boarding has been delayed. see below picture

i had a similar issue. However in my case if I set vsync forced on in NCP and then set vsync on in ms24 it works. More testing tomorrow , but it looks promising. My sim was working fune until 5.1 update which seemily nerfed intoi a stutter fest, hence me signing up to the beta I felt i didnt have anything to loose as I was looking at a reinstall anyways.

Noope they just bring out a USA update for the grand parks and everyone laps it up and goes back to thinking they walk on water. Some nearly 10 years ago when Rob A said "we should just appect stutters and lag" i always thought the devs and their pay master would be rubbing their hands in glee when they heard him say that, It gave them carte blanc to turn out rubbish. The other devs followed in suit and now we have a plethora of unfininished garbage and the normal gate holders will then shoot you dont if you ever question or critise anything to do with flightsimming in general. They are about to release GTA 6 at roughly the same price that ms2024 is/was. As ive always said for over 15 years since Captain Sim and Air Simmer started doing to pay to beta, the effect on the standard of the sim in the future will be huge. Theres theres alot money to be made out of this racket, so long as people / kids are willing to pay for unfinished, unpolished tat and so long as people buy in over hyped junk The latest KATL release is a perfect example.
