I remember the twitchy nature and brutal power of the Ferrari 812SF in Assetto Corsa!

Not an expert. But I do have a fast car.

It looks like he blew out a tire.

That was pretty benign. I wouldn't blame the horsepower of the car for that. Could happen to any car.

What makes you think that he blew a tyre? Where in the video is that indicated?

About 28-29 seconds in to the film you can see a violent swerve! Possible blown tire??

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

That looks more like an excessive push on the throttle pedal to me. That car is extremely powerful, and it did exactly the same thing in Assetto Corsa if too much throttle was applied too quickly.

Difficult to say. At first I thought he probably had it in race mode with traction control and stability control off, so the sudden throttle input with all that horsepower and rear wheel drive and wet road, sent him off.

But I think the blown tyre theory is also plausible.

I certainly wouldn't want to drive one if they are that unstable.

You know what Chris... just before he put his foot down it looked like his left hand flipped the paddle shifter down a gear. So yes, I think it was just the immense torque as a result of very high revs and rear wheel drive. Also wet road.

Perhaps had traction control and ESC off too.

If he had traction control off in the middle of London on a wet road with too much throttle input, then he kinda deserved what he got. Inner cities are not race tracks.

A YT car mechanic guy had the same thing in a Lamborghini. He did have traction control off. He also had semi-slick tyres. Wet as well. Low gear, accelerated and ended up in a ditch.

I don't think I'd ever drive a car like that with traction control off. I think I'd want four wheel drive, too.

Seems a bit bonkers to put a huge amount of horse power just through the back wheels.

For the record, I always had traction control OFF when I raced these cars in Assetto Corsa. However, that is a simulated version of the car on a simulated race track. Driving a real one through busy city streets is an entirely different ball game.
