November 23, 201213 yr There was a video somewhere from microsoft saying FSX "could" use as many cores as you can throw at it, shame it was never fixed to run that way. Simon Roberts
November 24, 201213 yr Author Hmm my old core duo doesn't seem much slower than that! Probably best would be to have only 4 cores but more speed on each? I don't know of any app using more than 3-4 cores. And even those remain mostly idle, being used only for background loading etc. Something alike one main core with 3 helper cores should be proposed to Intel/Amd?
