December 3, 201213 yr Hello, I have been using Opusfsx for some time now and I just start to discover the live view part og the program. Tonight I created some views for the bell 206 from dodosim. I started simple with only two cockpit views. Pilot and copilot...both with a zoomfactor of .60 set in opusfsx When changing between those two views in the cockpit, the view jumps (it doesn't glide into place) from one to the other. And besides that, the new view starts at a zoomlevel of .70 and only then it zooms in to .60 This creates a rather unpleasant stuttereffect when changing views. Can anyone give me some tips to solve this? Luc Brusselmans Belgium
December 4, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Luc Do you have the latest beta installed since we have improved the smoothness of the early versions. Have you increased the camera transition speed in the camera dialog? The transition speeds vary between aircraft sims, we have tried to take this into account for the PMDGs. I assume you don't have any other software packages running which are trying to control the views. Some FSX systems just can't cope with smooth transitions and throw away our position updates resulting in a stuttering movement so you may be better off with instant transitions if this is the case. Also it is preferable to use the xyz to change the eye position rather than the zoom, or at least keep the zoom level the same between views to stop the zooming in and out effect. Regards Cheryl
December 6, 201213 yr Author Chery, thanks for the tips. I have still one question. When I don't use opusfsx to control the views, I have (right hand top corner) a zoomfactor of 0.60. Don't ask me why but it is the view I like best, finding the right balance between inside the plane and the outside world. If I start using the xyz, do I change the zoomfactor in fsX? Luc Brusselmans
December 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Luc Changing xyz will not alter the FSX zoom factor. Note that if you change the zoom in FSX manually when flying then you will have to change it back again manually, it is independant of the camera views. Cheryl P.S. if you mean you have OpusFSX Live Camera disabled then of course nothing is changed within FSX, related to view handling that is. Cheers Stephen
