World of AI

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently installed World of AI. It appears to have installed without any problems, but I can't see any of the airlines I installed. There was not an option to select airports in the installation, just aircraft. When I select Airports & I click on a specific airline, It goes to the page & then everything disappears. This only happens on my computer, but not on my tablet??? On my tablet. the airports do appear & I can download them. So, when I log in to FSX, will they appear in the airport(s)? The only problem is I don't have FSX on my tablet, just on my computer. Can someone help??

Thanks,

hocdaddy

hocdaddy,

I want to make sure I understand your issue clearly, so forgive me for asking about things you may already know.

When you downloaded WoAI, did you find the installer program?

Next, when you selected 'airports' are you talking about the menu on the WoAI website? If so, selecting a particular airport, it will bring up a list of airlines that use that airport. You then download each individual airline package you want from the WoAI website (the packages are actually here in the AVSIM library, but clicking the package link will take you there). These packages are zip files and are not to be opened.

Run the WoAI installer and follow the steps to install each airline package individually. That's it!

Hello hocdaddy,

WoAI's files contain the flight plan, airports and airplane information inside the zip file. When you run the installer you point the program to the location of the zip file and then the installer does the rest for you. Very simple just a couple of clicks and that's it.

If you are using FSX then is up to you if you want to convert the flight plan to FSX or leave it as 2004 default format, just be aware that all your previously installed FSX traffic will go disappear. It all depends on the airline that you choose to download and the flight scheduling it may be or may not be at your airport at the time of your flight.

You may pick a popular airline like Delta, American, Southwest, etc. and pick KLAX, KSEA to fly from/to and for sure you'll see some traffic coming and going on these airports if you choose some of the more well known airlines listed in WofAI.

Good luck and enjoy the learning curve.

Luis.
