December 9, 201213 yr Having just brought Experience X it got me thinking about night time flying. I'm also a little worried that I'm the only one that suffers from one of those experiences that stays with you for the rest of your life? Let me elaborate, back in the day when package holidays were just beginning to get popular and you could ask the stewardess if you could visit the cockpit I had one of those moments. It was the end of the holiday and the plane was somewhere close to Manchester (EGCC I'm also sure it was in the decent) and I had asked the stewardess if I could visit the cockpit. Eventually, she returned and said we will need to be quick and of we went. As I entered the pit I was blown away by what greeted my eyes. I have had many other wow moments from an aeroplane but that one was my first and best. Seeing all those lights out the cockpit window was just amazing. Since then I have always wanted to get FSX looking as close to what has stayed in my memory and had such an impact on me. This thread isn't about achieving that, but more about has anyone else wanted to and why. So is it just me? Or is it a shared experience?
