Hollywood asks about my comment in his thread here http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=203694&page=2"6] Unlike Hollywood's claim, this AFDS does not haveCWS,VNAV ALT,ALT INT,SPD INTV.where did i say that, Randy. You said it here http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=203474&page=3...Now to it's strenght- Avionics are splendid- IRS works as the real thing. turn it off and your done with flight instruments. The ALIGN time is controlled in an INI file. you can set it to more or less realistic if you like. default ALIGN time is 5 min.- FS2004 Fligtplan import- Excellent visual model.- Photo realistic 3D cockpit- Accurate lightning.- switchable DU's like the real aircraft- Perfectly readable DU's- Higly realistic sound. It's really cool to fly with. I have the PMDG 737, the product is great, however, this one is a step further to realism. ... Certainly realsim superior has to have the features availble to the aircraft no? Hollywood asks and states" 2nd, why should the aircraft sim have it is the real 737-900 does not have it?Do you see ALT INT / SPD INTV in this Continental 737-900http://www.airliners.net/open.file/184685/L/and unfortunately i cannot see it on the KLM 737-900 eitherhttp://www.airliners.net/open.file/418221/L/I see non but i could be blindI think you are refering to the PMDG 737-900 pit that has it. Fake. Just not the real aircraft. PMDG Panel is taking it's background from the -800 series and not -900." Ah really my friend? Maybe I can clear this up for you since you seem to be a bit confused about what is and what is not on a 900 NG. 1] 800 and 900 aircraft have the some compatibilties in regards to the AFDS and FMC, the ONLY difference is in size. 2] I'm glad you spent some time looking to TRY to prove to us that the 900 series (Real World) does not have SPD OR ALT INTV correct? As I said above, airlines can optionize their aircraft WITH these IF they choose to. Now, to show everyone that it is INDEED the case let's look at Alaska Airlines who of course the Ariane happens to be released as here http://www.airliners.net/open.file/192488/L/. Well well look at that, a 900 with SPD INTV! Sort of thows your argument out the window sir. Why only SPD INTV? Because it's an OPTION, just like some 800s with only SPD INTV, if anyone was to model all options (PMDG has done very many) then they will spend years developing. See it's all about options and the PMDG does have many of those would you not agree? Even a sytles menu because there are so many. But back to this point, a 900 is really a slightly longer version of the 800, the AFDS/FMS is EXACT my friend. And one more thing, every NEW NG (Built at Boeing this year and last) including 900s have ONLY the new type of Collins A/P unit not what we see on the PMDG and the Ariane, so I wonder when you say things like this "Fake. Just not the real aircraft" Here is the A/P on the 900http://www.airliners.net/open.file/474132/L/Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. Hollywood said"2] Blurry text on the overhead is so bad you cannot even read the "new" IRS panel.where does PMDG have it? They just missed this part of the overhead panel, even if not working.Ariane has it as pop-up, like PMDG has a fake one, and it is crystal clear to read out." You also made mention of the IRS panel and how " crystal clear" it appears in the Ariane in a pop up. I was not comparing it with PMDG which you are welcome to do, all I stated was the IRS panel on the Ariane was blurry which it is, you seem to want to defend against something I did not claim, my claim was the text is blurry on the overhead. And further this IRS panel (not actual one one the upper panel) is not clickable but only working as a pop up. Everyone can be the judge here:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/86165.jpg And to remind you sir, you have had a number of "complaints-questions-suggestions on the PMDG forum and I always have treated you with some respect, I hope that discussing a product that you please try to not pull a "Randy" and get so emotinal in defense :)Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. RandyMuch as I genuinely enjoy reading your threads because they indicate a real in-depth knowledge about the 737, I suspect that on this occasion, your comments will 'fall on deaf ears'.'Hollywood' is clearly a fan of Ariane and being the cynic I am, I wouldn't be at all surprised if many of his comments were based on post requests by P.T. himself who clearly hasn't the guts to discuss his products openly himself.....What is clear to everyone by now is how good the PMDG product is. I don't think anyone would argue with that.Ariane's version seems 'lacking' in many respects based on postings by people who have bought it and by enlarge seem disappointed with their purchase. The ONLY way (IMO) to settle these 'arguments' will be for AVSIM (or similar) to publish a fair unbiased review of the Ariane product (which I'm sure Tom would be happy to arrange if Ariane sends him a copy). Not a comparison between Ariane and PMDG, but simply a review of the Ariane package discussing everything from systems to aesthetics to value for money etc. Then, based purely on merit alone, buyers can make informed decisions about what to buy or what to give a wide berth to.....Toni.

Randy, we i have a name, my name is Martin. Or should i call you CRVM.We well never find the end of this, so, as yesterday was said, you have your PMDG i have PDMG and Ariane and both of us are happy. Leave it like it is and if you want to get into any detail, send me a PM.end of the story. Regarding an Ariane forum, avsim will not allow one, same as the asked me one year ago not to try to publish Ariane news on avsim. Their policy does not allow it. Kind of a censorship here. ;)Have a nice dayMartin

Kind of a censorship>here. ;)MartinThat's a pretty lame excuse! If (for obvious reasons) Avsim will not host an 'Ariane' forum, why doesn't Tishma set one up elsewhere????????He can't continue to hind behind rocks and blame everyone else forever. If he genuinely cares about his customer(s) and Ariane's reputation/products and wants to try and gain an iota of credibility, he'll finally stop all this cr*p and 'come out' in an Ariane forum......Toni.
