Lots of API.dll crashes

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have been sticking exclusively with P3D for sometime now because of much smoother performance and much better performance at night. However, I'm having trouble finding a stable configuration. I have used the Estonia migration tool to install a bunch of add-ons.

My perhaps the biggest problem is frequent crashes, typically caused by api.dll. This usually happens when flying the NGX with fs2crew. If I fly with virtual FSX enabled I get crashes quite often, if I fly native p3d (disable virtual FSX) it seems quite stable. On the other hand, fs2crew stops working from time to time in this mode. My preference would be to fly with the executable renamed to FSX.exe since this will allow me to use fsinn. This seems out of the question with these types of frequent crashes.

I'm a bit frustrated with my stability issues so I am hoping someone has some suggestions? At least a suggestion as to where to look for problems?

Hi

API dll crashes are usually symptom of system being stressed.

turn down oc and graphics sliders to improve stability.

also try one of them game boosters like iobit, to help wase the load during fsx.

On my P3d or FSX system OC and sliders always the cause of API crashes
