The Ariane Conspiracy

Featured Replies

First of all,let me say that i am in now way connected with either Peter Tishma or Ariane.I have bought their 737-900 recently, and i am a pleased customer. Now i supect this post to be locked,or in any way not even reaching the forum, but if the moderators of this forum can act in a professional matter, they will let it stand open and answer question in a serious matter. If not, well that would in case state their unprofessinal acting upon these questions.I am at a daily basis in this site, checking forums and news, and i love the site. But lately after buying the ariane aircraft,i have been in the forums searching for topics related to this aircraft, mainly because of bugs and issues i would like answered.I find it frustrating and deeply unprofessional that the moderators of this forum closes threads containing any issues regarding ariane or their products.Finding the most extreme example where someone in here asks a pollite and friendly question about ariane and their 737-900.Moderator gives a brief answer, and ends it with telling this thread will be locked immediately.Seriously, some sore history is involved in this, but i really could care less.If moderators or any others in these forums has any "undone" business towards Ariane, spanning years back in time,i suggest you find yourself another place to spill your guts. There have been several occasions where people in here asked questions regarding this aircraft, review or whatever, and there are not one thread where there arent any justifing, self approved all-knowing guy has to make it a unserious, and highly flamethrowing-lets-####-kick-ariane discussion.Get your acts together or go elsewhere. This should be a forum where people discuss issues regarding whatever they feel in the sim world, and if people cant stay serious regarding those question in a normal matter, dont answer. As said, this will probably be locked.I could care less about that too. This post is directed towards many in here, including moderators. So i understand why they would lock it.Have a nice day,and still a very nice summer.Svein ,Norway

I know Svein from the norwegian flightsim forums, and he is certainly not a troll. I also think he has a valid point, even though it is not the moderators fault that most of the threads about Ariane's products turn into bashing of the company. -

Even though you think it may be a valid point, I think it is done in an insulting manner. Not only to AVSIM, but its users as well. On one hand he is asking why there is so much anamosity towards said company and then turns an antagonistic tone towards this forum, its moderators and its members. In my books that's trolling.I will also add that I have owned software from Ariane and have been far from impressed with the result. Sure their models look great but the flight dynamics are no better or are even worse than the default MSFS 737. There are much better alternatives on the market. Giving them credibility by buying a substandard product only hurts the industry as a whole.Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

Also, if you have question relating to Ariane product support, why not contact Ariane directly??? Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."

>Also, if you have question relating to Ariane product>support, why not contact Ariane directly???> maybe because they don't reply? :+

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....

Troll!?LOL:):)Well thank you for clearing that one up

Are words needed????:(

Well, first of all - if we redirect any forum question to the "proper" address only, we can close the forum. Are Ariane related issues banned from the forum? We can choose not to answer them, but they have the same legitimacy to be posted as any other question. Is "How to fly an ILS?" a better thread? There are zillions of sites dealing with it, one would only have to google around and read.It

Blame or not blame.I was refering to the thread where a person kindly and in a professional matters asked a question. When the first post comes from a moderator, and he state that he will lock the thread, then i blame the moderator. For poor professionalism regarding this.To be moderate about this, yes there are post that moderator locks due to flamethrowing events, which of course is right. But then again its the moderators job to rule out those who cant stay seriuos, and in worst case bann them from the forum. But i feel, without pulling the trigger here, that there are moderators who feel the way many other anti ariane persons feel here, and unfortunatly let it shine through.

"My life philosopy is discuss it,argue it and get over it!"We've grown tired of discussing PT and his products; there's been more than enough arguememnt; now we're trying to forget the issue and get on with simming.Too bad Ariane, for what they are charging for their latest release, can't spare the money to start it's own support forums (that in itself should say enough for folks to be wary of the purchase).Greg (not affiliated with PMDG or any other heavy developer... just tired of the Ariane threads that go no where).

I do not appreciate the accusation that this post would not be allowed or that the moderators (including myself) here do not act professionally. This post, just like any other on any topic, will be locked if the threads do not follow the Terms and Conditions outlined when you registered on these forums. What reason do you have for making such accusations? Because we locked other posts in the past on this topic? Did you not agree that the purpose of the locking was as stated above?Your post, as inflamatory and insulting that it is, will be left unlocked so that other members of AVSim can have a chance to respond. If you care to discuss the actions of the moderators, please email or private message myself or Tom Allensworth. Otherwise...

Otherwise...??Jees lock it up if you want.I totally agree about the fact that this should be a finished discussion, but it obviously isn't as it can be spoken of ariane in here. And moderators...Sure you can lock this up or threaten to anyways. But as stated earlier this will bring nothing less then your proof of unprofessionaltiy regarding this.If there can't be spoken of issues regarding ariane,or moderators cant take critism regarding this..well im not sure if its important for me to have this discussion in here anyways.I recieive full support by ariane, but i would like to be able to raise questions in this forum as well.Lock it up and bann me..sure fine.No harm taken from my side. But there need to be a clean up in this forum regarding this...either you like it or not.

I don't want to lock any thread. But if someone, and it doens't matter who, makes a post that violates the Terms and Conditions of AVSim.com, then the post is locked. It doesn't matter if the post is pro-this or pro-that.It is too bad that some topics cannot be discussed without a lock being put on the post eventually. Unfortunately, this not the moderators fault and is not the moderators acting "unprofessionally".If you do not agree with this philosophy, I suggest you find another forum to post on, since obviously you won't like it here. And I am now locking this thread. Just proof of my unprofessionalism I guess.
