December 21, 201213 yr hi i added some helipads with the opt and i was wanting to add a image to one of them can u advise as to how i might go about doing this thanks
December 22, 201213 yr This is a little more complex. You would have to: - either make your own helipad from scratch, or - make a flat plane with your image in gMax (or 3DS Max) and place it over the default helipad, or - decompile the default helipad, edit it in gMax to add your image, and create a new custom helipad that you can place. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
January 4, 201313 yr Hi. Don't know if I came into this discussion in the middle, but I started flying helicopters again in FSX and was curious about creating helipads. The best combination: Google Sketchup, and ModelConverterX (1.3) And both are free. Youll also need LibraryCreatorXML, also free. Sketchup is the best way to create buildings; ModelconverterX makes creating landable platforms so easy. 1. Create it in Sketchup. 2. Import it into ModelConverter, make platform landable, export as FSX model. 3. Create xml library, import model, compile as BGL. 4. Copy contents to addon scenery folder. Here's an excellent tutorial: http://www.calclassic.com/sketchup_tutorial.htm And Arno has several good videos on YouTube. Again, I apologize if Ive missed part of this conversation and have no idea what you're talking about. Good luck John
