engine surging

Featured Replies

Hi all, can anyone help, i have a FFX 737-300 and when cruising the engines are pulsing between 30 N1 and 55 N1 and speed is up and down , can i alter anything in the aircraft cfg to stop this , i have the Fokker 100 and thats as steady as a rock, thanks and regards.:-)

Hi John, i am using Helio Estela,s panel , to be honest im not sure of the weight ,i drop the fuel to 1500 either side as im doing a continuous touch and go ,up to 4000 ft and back to land ,when im on approach at at 140 the speed is up and down between 140 to 144 and all the time i,m flying the engines are surging, i use Helio,s panel in the DC 10 with no trouble and like i said the fokker 100 is really steady , im only now beginnig to land these smaller planes as it should be done and it could also be microsoft,s 2002 autopilot not helping but some aircraft like the 767 works ok, thanks Roger.

Hi John again, i have just tried the 737 up to level 120 ,250 ks steady climb 1800 fpm engines steady and at level flight, stayed at 120 slowed to 140 ks switched auto pilot off/on that seemed to be better, steady speed and N1, decended 2000ft at 800 fpm 140ks and away it went again all gauges N1/N2/EGT/ up and down, its not that bad as to make a lot of differance when landing but it would be nice to have it fixed, would it be in the air file, anyway nice to talk to you John regards Roger.

Look in (autopilot)max throttle rate= 0.100000you might try ;max throttle rate= 0.045000, or play with it to suit. Also this will make the engines spool up slower so don't get caught too low and too slow.Johnsupport_banner.jpg
