Hello All

I notice amongst those brief messages that appear at PC startup that my setup is SMART capable ,but disabled.

Can anybody tell me what it is,and whether its worth enabling ,if it is then how I go about it.

Will it increase my flightsim experience in anyway ? :t4013: (ha!)

For disks, mobo needs to support it, HDD must support it, and then it must be enabled in BIOS.

 

Worth, yeah/no/depends... To possibly know if your HDD is going to fail, sure.

 

Performance boost - surely none.
