Frame Rate Issue

Featured Replies

I tried doing a search on my problem, but I didn't find anything pertaining to my issue. I just recently installed FS2004, and I started to have a problem that while on the ground, my frame rate is 1 FPS, and it takes about 10 seconds for one action or frame to move. Once I get off the ground (using slew) then it works fine. When I attempted a landing, and touched down, the problem occured again. I tried playing around with the scenery complexity and turning all scenery to minimal, but the problem is still occuring.I'm running Windows XP Home, SP1 with DirectX 9.0aAMD Athlon 1.83 GHz - 512 MB DDR, GeForce FX5200, WD800JD HD.. I think it's sufficient.I also have the latest drivers from NVidia.Any help is appreciated.

I just stumbled upon this topic here:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchI'm using the Sidewinder Joystick, but I'm not using the forces. Is there a fix for this, or anyway to remove the forces?

Do you buy chance have a ff joystick? If you do try disabling it. Some People have had this problem with ff joysticks. keith

I do, I have the Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro... It's not plugged into the wall, so I'm not getting any force feedback, but how I would I go about disabling this?

Nevermind, missed the force feedback option =).Turned it off, and it works fine now. Thanks again.
