I recently bought an SSD to replace my system drive and a separate hard drive for FSX and have reinstalled everything. I had set up for a flight from KBFI with the NGX and opened FSUIPC to set up my controllers again. The problem occurs when I exit from FSUIPC. The BFI scenery goes away and I'm left with what looks like a desert. This is sometimes followed by the screen starting to flash and no way to exit the program. The problem can be reproduced most of the time.

 

I've reinstalled both FSX and the NGX and FSUIPC a couple of times without any luck. Could there be something going on with the Video card or driver? Any ideas would be appreciated. Don't think it happens with stock airplanes though I need to check that further.

Fixed my problem by turning off UAC.
