December 29, 201213 yr Hello. As I understand it there are basically 4 versions of Windows 8. Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit, plus Windows 8 Pro 32 bit and 64-bit Are there people that are running FSX successfully under all of these versions? Thanks
January 4, 201313 yr Author Does anyone have any guidance on this topic ? Or would it be better to stick with Windows 7? thanks
January 4, 201313 yr There are a number of editions of windows 8 - I don't know the names, but know there are those aimed at the home user, all the way up to the enterprise level. For a new OS always go with the 64-bit version, however if I were you, I'd get a nice copy if windows 7 64 bit - Known to work perfectly with FSX - well supported by the community and developers and most of all easy and pleasant to use! I could bore you with an extensive list of reasons why I personally feel that Windows 8 is a poor offering... but I'll spare you! I've been using Windows 8 for several weeks now (thankfully not on my FSX machine!) and desperately want my Windows 7 back! James W
