While trying to clean up my hard drive today I discovered several hundred files with the name General.fx. There are also several hundred more of these with various other titles.

 

Any one know what they are for?

A file with the .fx file extension is known as a Microsoft DirectX D3D Effect.

 

Not necessarily a FSX file.
