Using House Sound System

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a question and to help explain some pics...

My house has a sound system and there are two wall mounted speakers in the room where my computer is..

Just your normal wall mounted speaker of which there is two.

Now next to my computer there's this

That switch and knob control those speakers and to me those four input things look like they would work for the pc. But I'm a bit confused because how would I connect the computer to those? Because there's four would I have to "split" whatever goes to it? (if that makes sense)

What would I need to buy to make this work?

Finally I already have three speakers on my pc, a set of three one big and two small. Would connecting the two wall ones be too much?

I think tho would be awesome to have with fsx

Thanks and I hope that made enough sense

Does England have Radio Shack? Pretty much anything is possible just have to find the right connectors. There are many types that have the small audio jack plug that fits your motherboard or sound card. That's the end you want to start off first of course. I'm unfamiliar with your wall outlets however but very doable I believe.

I'm in Canada.

We have a radio shack (or Source as its know here now)

Maybe I'll go have a look at the usual suspects, Best Buy etc. for some connectors.

Thanks

Turns out its not really doable. Those input jacks are for stereo wire. Which means I would need to get a receiver to convert it.

I was wondering if there was a speaker system that took computer input and speaker wires but probably not
