What are you using for textures?

Been ordering from them for the past 16 years or so (even through Microwings). Both digital downloads and disc media and never had a problem. Always had great customer service and a CSR would answer to take my order when ever I called. I do miss those good weekly specials they used to do though.

Love Opus. used it since it came out. But after the hype decided to give the ASN demo a try. Just 3 days left till it ends. I'm bummed. With REX 4 its just beautiful. I too will wait for a nice sale.

I'll make the jump from FSX when PMDG does.

Until I can fly with my PMDG add on's ill be stuck with FSX.

Can my wife see this? Since 1997 I'd say 7000+ for hardware but I just did the math..@ $30 a month on software (my average) since 1997 is $5760????????? ugh

When you started using? Do you mean an addon? Have you checked windows event viewer? Maybe uninstall what ever it is you added last..addon,driver,update ect. and see if it crashes again.

And of course you could check for malware/addware ect. I clicked on a naughty site this one time by accident and days later FSX paused every 10 seconds or so hmmmmmmm

This happens to me about 50% of the time regardless of what aircraft I use. Hmmm maybe I'll try cutting the engines first to see what happens.

Awesome post. I love history and reading this makes me want to boot up the Jenny and retrace some of those old airmail routes.

EDDM-EHAM to try her out. I was so excited I didnt bother with the after takeoff checklist that I flew the whole route with the gear down.

Since it's release I've been flying in and out of parts of the world I never bothered with before. On a tour of the Baltic's as we speak..would of been unheard of a few weeks ago. Worth every cent.

I only run UTX for the lighting so it looks like I might be able to free up some hard drive space. I really try not to get excited about upcoming releases with all the usual issues like slow downloads,server crashes,links not working,serial numbers not registering,forums exploding yada yada yada but I'm really looking forward to this regardless of any possible day one issues. Hasn't been this much buzz since the NGX. Good times.

Hmmm Since going to DX10 its been MONTHS not minutes since I've had any sort of crash. I do see some minor flashing/flickering of runways at various add on airports and I know there are tweaks I could find to fix such things but I'm telling you when you can fly the PMDG NGX with ORBX and everything maxed from point A to point B with all the button clicks,view changes ect that go with it with out worry then a few flickers here and there will mean nothing..at least to me anyways.. My system is a year old but DX10 made it new again as far as FSX goes. Hope you can iron out the issues you're having.

Happy to see it will work with UTX. I only use it for the lovely night lighting.

DX10..Since doing so I havent had an OOM,CTD or "FSX has stopped working". I can fly the PMDG NGX with ORBX scenery to my fat hearts content.

This was a very nice read and I could see my house as you climbed out of SeaTac.

Run the windows event viewer. It will tell you what it was then google it. I've done this many times and each time I find a fix I get better flying experience. However since I switched to using DX10 a week ago I've been able to fly all day using PMDG aircraft and my settings pretty high. Not one issue yet. I'd give it a try and test it. Set up a long flight and I'm willing to bet you complete it in DX10 mode.

I simply went to DX10 after reading a lot of positive posts about doing so here. Been a week with out any OOMs or CTDs. Before now I've never been able to finish a a PMDG flight longer than an hour or so.

I think your assumptions are correct but I'm interested in this question as well.

Love my Saitek pedals but no matter what I could never get the toe brakes to work. Applying them while taxing causes me to peel off left or right. Doesnt seem to matter what binding/axis I use.
