Dynamic head movements not working

Featured Replies

**Posted this in the general FSX section, not realizing that there was an OPUS specific forum. Sorry!***

I'm looking to enable head movements, such as found in EZdok. As an example, when I throttle up, there should be the effect of being pushed back in my seat. I keep hearing people say that Opus can replace EZdok, but I can't seem to replicate this effect. I can enable to the vibration and shaking effects, but not G reaction effects such as being pushed back in your seat under acceleration or side to side movement with adverse Yaw.

I CAN get the active camera smooth movements to work in test mode (don't use them for normal flight). So my frame rate of about 18 FPS doesn't seem to be the issue.

When you are in Camera settings and have the view selected you want to add DHM to, you should see a DHM checkbox with a DHM button in green below it. Check the DHM box and then click on the DHM green button and you can go in and edit what type of movements you want with the camera views and the frequency or severity of it.

Just having an active camera will not implement DHM or AHM. It needs to be activated and configured and binded to each camera view. You'll need to repeat the above process everytime you add a new camera position I believe, I could be wrong on that. But it's what I did and am very pleased with my results.

We have implemented G force in a very subtle and realistic way. We don't do lateral head movement since in the real world the pilot's head doesn't move that way when pulling G.
