I try to connect to vatsim but it wont work.

Is the UK server the only one you have tried? Here is the list of active server.

yep that is the one im using but cant sadly connect to.

 

Ill try others now

 

they are not working either.

assuming it worked before, this would happen to me when I chose a call sign that was already in use.

It didnt work before, this is my first time on Vatsim. The call sign was made up.

With FSInn it is hard to tell from just the one screenshot. The call sign in use was my next guess also. Next suspect could be that the FSFDT Control Panel is not starting or configured correctly. That panel will be down in the Windows System Tray. Did you install FSCopilot first with Admin privileges and then FSInn with admin privileges also? This is why I moved to SquawkBox4; FSinn when it is running works like a charm; otherwise it is a pain that seems to like being broken.

First of all, welcome to vatsim. There is a detailed guide on the vatsim web site explaining step by step the procedures to install and then successfully run FSINN. It is important to follow it else risk many frustrations. I believe you are supposed to run the programs outside of FSX independently. This is true also with squawkbox.

 

This is why I moved to SquawkBox4

 

Edward is using Squawkbox and may I suggest you do too just to get started. It is a simple install and will allow you to test your log in and voice capabilities while you sort out the bugs in FSINN. You can have both programs installed and they will not conflict as long as you use one at a time.

 

As far as your posted screen shot is concerned, the check box next to "will run inside FS" draws my attention

assuming squawkbox is installed correctly, run both fsx and squawkbox as admin, also, run squawkbox from outside the sim not from the menu in the sim.
