Prosim737 with MCP Combo II

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently started working with prosim737, but for now I would like to keep using my MCP Combo II panel.

I came across a topic which claimed to have a lua for linda that should work, only the download link does not exist.

I'm talking about this topic.

Can someone tell me if this download is still available somewhere and if it still works?

Or if not, can someone point me to some kind of manual or tutorial so I can try to get the MCP Panel working myself :)

Thanks in forward!

Prosim natively supports some of the VRi hardware like the MCP2 Boeing panel and the CDU2, please visit the ProSim support forums for details.

Cheers, Andy.

Are you sure of that? In the supported hardware list VRInsight's MCP Combo panel is not included. Only the CDU2 and Overhead panel are on the list.

Anyway I will also try the forum there.. thanks

They were sent the hardware on loan so that they could write drivers for their avionics suite, as far as I know they had an MCP2 Boeing panel, CDU2 and as you confirmed a V737 Overhead panel.

Cheers, Andy.

Alright! That sounds promising :)

i just openend a topic on the prosim737 forum. Hope they can point me to the right instructions then:)

Thanks for you replies!

Actually looking back over some old emails they may not have been sent an MCP2 after all, it was a CDU2 and Overhead panel only. Let me see if I can find the Linda module you speak of, I seem to remember it was recently removed from Linda due to causing problems with other 737 modules. I'll get back to you.

LATER: I think if you download the latest version of Linda from the page below the module is already included.

Then follow the instructions in the post you reference in the opening post.

The forum at Prosim should be able to help you with any further advice you need.

Cheers, Andy.

Yeah, I have tried that actually. I have the latest LINDA installed (just re-did it, just to be sure) and I followed the steps in the topic. Now when I try to use my MCP it controls the autopilot of the aircraft in fsx, not the prosim737 mcp. (I use the default plane for now).

Is the maybe something I need to adjust or delete with the fsx plane?

EDIT: I just found out that the NAV/COMM part of the panel is working properly. So that's something atleast :) Now for the EFIS and MCP part..

Sorry I've no idea, I do not have the Prosim suite, as I mentioned earlier their support forum should have plenty of users with VRi MCP's to help you out, if no one else finds this thread here.

Cheers, Andy.
