New pilots help VOIP voice chat ?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I'm new to X-plane and was wondering if anyone knew of a voice over ip (Voice Chat) that is being used to help new x-plane pilots such as my self. I have been in Avsim teamspeak 4 times in several days and there is never anyone there to ask any questions.

thanks Mike

No chat that I know of but please ask away if you have any questions.

I'm not a long-time X-Planer but have made the sometimes painful transition from FSX, so I do know some of the pitfalls. :-)

Okay thanks for replying. Could you tell me what you like about X-plane that you prefer to FSX?

Ignoring the obvious "missing" stuff in XP10 (ATC / AI / seasonal textures / landmarks / basic global airport scenery) that FSX does have, I think its strong points are the default scenery and the fantastic lighting. XP10 looks pretty good just about anywhere in the world without the need for expensive Orbx-style addon regions. Perfect? No, but rather good enough considering the $70 price, and what's best is it covers the whole world. The HDR lighting is also very impressive; just look at the realistic aircraft lights, and try flying at dusk/down/night it can be jaw-dropping.
