So installed this a while back and removed it because it introduced some instability. At lease I think I removed it. Does default FSX have a d3d9.dll? I have one that is dated 04/10/2012 and is 248kb. I also have a d3d9.fx file dated 01/09/2012 and is 12kb. Are these default FSX files. To further confuse things, or at least me, I also have an enbseries.ini file. I assume this is not default? Which of there do I totally remove to uninstall ENBSeries?

You clearly didn't remove it: both the files you mention make up ENB... So remove d3d9.dll and the ini and you should be good.
