When I download OrbxFTXIRLPatch001.zip (Service Pack 005) from the Orbx/England updates I'm getting a file is invalid message. Is it just me or is the file corrupt?

what to set ftx central at when installing other addons
Hi Andy, thanks for replying. I'm not sure though what you mean by migration patch. Is the a new FTC Central. I haven't installed the updated libraries yet as I have more orbx regions to install. I'm not too sure what to do.

what to set ftx central at when installing other addons
I want to install FSDT CYVR and Orbxsim Kelowna. The Kelowna install has an option for Orbx integration. I know this has been asked before but i can's find it--what do I set FTX Central to before I instlall the addons? And is this a hard rule applicable to all sceneries? Thanks in advance. MS Forcefeedback 2 throttle
Doing a full uninstall/reinstall so consider this closed. Thanks vortex, that was the push I needed lol.

MS Forcefeedback 2 throttle
yes, joystick ok. I have the paid version of FSUIPC but it wasn't in the drop down menu. I reinstalled it and it was there but I couldn't open it. Then it disappeared. Weird things happening.... I got the throttle working by rebuilding the fsx.cfg but then I couldn't find a bunch of pmdg aircraft. So I went back to the original fsx.cfg and not working again.

MS Forcefeedback 2 throttle
So I have the problem again and this time my system has deleted my restore points. My buttons work on the controller but the ailerons and throttle don't. As I understand it they are two separate xml files so maybe one is corrupted?

MS Forcefeedback 2 throttle
system restore fixed it. Guess I had a corrupted xml file?

MS Forcefeedback 2 throttle
After a system crash my throttle, ailerons and rudder don't work. They are setup in the Control Axes https://gyazo.com/b5ffd93691916563d2ef0f1d7e5c347d I tried rename my fsx.cfg file to build a new control.xml but no joy. And if I go to Buttons/Keys and try to change an assignment FSX hangs. I really don't want to reinstall.... :(

C-47 V3 Bliss
It is quite the aircraft for freeware, or payware for that matter. It is stunning in many respects and hats off to the team that managed to create this.

nvinspector/prepar3d.cfg tweaks not necessary anymore with the latest P3D?

another 13 hours of my life wasted...
Yes, the FSUIPC auto save is great when you don't need it but when you do it's even better.

another 13 hours of my life wasted...
CTD or not, that 13 hours was gone. Completing the flight wasn't going to get it back...

Jahn DC-3 ver 1.2
I have the new Jahn DC-3 but it has the newer style panel. Someone was doing an older style VC and I'm wondering if anyone has any news or (!) a link to it. I'd even be happy getting the V1.0 VC working on the new model, or alternatively getting repaints for ver 1.2 (there seem to be a lot of them) working on ver 1. I have tried ver 1.2 repaints on the ver 1 model and everything seems ok except the props are all black. Any help appreciated.

Let us know how you make out Brent. Interesting that it is usable out of the box...

To FSX users on the fence for P3D 2.5
Is this an inference of dishonesty? Pretty strong words...

250kts/10,000ft and 91.117d
According to the UK regulations you can't fly above 250kts without ATC approval and it's not even clear in the above regs that ATC is allowed to grant it. Or am I reading it wrong?
-
250kts/10,000ft and 91.117d
Thanks Rick. I'm assuming Vmm is minimum clean speed?
-
250kts/10,000ft and 91.117d
Kyle, yes, it looks like the Canadian Operation Manual and the US OPSpec manual are the same thing. The problem is that if Minimum Safe Airspeed is not clearly defined in the FAA regs, but rather in OPSpecs of the individual airlines, we don't really know for sure and are back to where "a lot of simmers (and even some pilots who don't have heavy experience) like to assert that the pilot would leave the flaps slats out to meet the restriction." Unless the real world pilots can share what their OPSpecs manuals say or said we're no closer to nailing it.

250kts/10,000ft and 91.117d
In Canada operators have an Operations Manual that is approved by Transport Canada. I assume the OPSpec is the equivalent for operators in the US? I can't find anything with Google--are these manuals confidential or is there a way to find out what certain airlines (Delta, for example) have as policy concerning the 250kt rule?
