August 16, 200421 yr I have an extra 10 Gb harddrive (D:) and FS9 installed on C:.I wonder if I can install FS9 a second time on D: without problems,or is it neccesary (advisable) to first uninstall it on C:?The reason I wan't to do this is to test if I can get significant better performence by having FS9 on a separate harddrive. I oftenget annoyed by FS9 long loading times. And I have read that the fewer files there are on a harddrive the faster discaccess is.
August 16, 200421 yr Good question, I'm about to try the same, so hopefully someone has experience with this!
August 16, 200421 yr I did this with Fs2002, you simply rename the Fs9 directory to Fs9old, or something like that and you can reinstall. Worked ok then..JamesJ
August 17, 200421 yr I'm not sure whether this can be done or not, given that it installs FS9.CFG in the same DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS... folder. You'll keep overwriting the settings I believe.
