January 30, 201313 yr Commercial Member Hello all, While doing some testing of a model of mine, i found out what I initially thought was a bug of my gauge coding, but not. It was reproducible on DEFAULT aircraft! It is as follows: Load the default 737-800 for instance, go to overhead panel and turn OFF generators and battery... DING! electrical power is still available for a while! What is strange is that ammeters and voltmeters correctly indicate ZERO when you switch things off... after a couple minutes, it goes back to normal and switching batteries and generators works as expected. My model has its own code for controlling avionics and generators, and it appears that FSX is attempting to switch the avionics back on if my code attempts a switch OFF, as ammeters start to oscillate. After a while, just like the default 737-800, things go back to normal and my code works as intended! So I'm not asking support with gauge programming here... Anyone experienced this electrical quirk?
