Overclocking my GTX 670

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a Gigabyte GTX 670 as seen here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423

Core Clock: 980 MHz

Boost Clock: 1058 MHz

Memory Clock: 6008 MHz

I want to ask about overclocking this card. Will there be a particular performance increase? I know FSX is CPU bound but apparently the GPU helps out with lots of clouds and I notice a significant performance decrease in cloudy weather. Which GPU clock will benefit FSX more? Should I raise the core clock first or the memory clock? What functions does each clock speed accomplish, and how will this translate into performance for FSX?

Regards,

Ivo
