Won't save default flight to cfg file

THis happened once before but I have no idea how I fixed it. When I save a flight and click to make it the default flight it asks me if I want to save it over the previous one. That is all normal enough. But that doesn't seem to update the FS9.cfg file so when I restart FS9 I don't get that default flight. Anyone dealt with this before? Thanks!!David

Only thing I can think of is to make sure the FS9.cfg is not read only.
