Radical performance drop just after takeoff?

Featured Replies

FSX on the ground running 30fps capped from nvidia inspector @ ksea with the NGX.

About 45 seconds into the flight using the NGX frames suddenly slam down to around 5-7fps?

I have tried this with and without a tweaked .cfg file, it only happens using the NGX, although the NGX usually runs at lower frames then any other aircraft ive never encountered such a huge and sudden drop that does not resolve itself.

This is on a fresh install with a new system built around the i7 3770k, the only other program i run along with FSX is the OPUS weather program.

Another quickie if i may, if i uninstall the NGX will that burn up a license key activation, as i just went through getting keys reactivated after the install on my new rig.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Thank you very much!

Have your tested it without Opus running?

Yes i tried without Opus same issue, turned out to be the Framerate limiter in Nvidia inspector causing the odd performance issues, changed the value in Inspector back to default and problems gone.

Still wondering if i uninstall the NGX then re-install will that burn up a license key activation, as i just went through getting keys reactivated after the install on my new rig. Does uninstalling PMDG software release the license key is what im asking.

Thx :)
