February 9, 201313 yr I have purchased a PS3 eye camera and have the FSPUIC dll in the modules folder. I installed version 1.6 and faceapi. The camera is working in the CL-eye test. When I open the Headtracking program an error comes up. See photo attached..Any help to get this going would be appreciated. My processor is an AMD dual core running at 3.013 Mhz. Thanks
February 9, 201313 yr Get a better processor and most likely a new motherboard. Your processor is not good enough to be able to run that program. What happens when you hit the RUN ANYWAY button?? Does the program still run at all?
February 10, 201313 yr Author When I tap run anyways that is when the error comes up. My processor as stated is an and dual core running at 3.013 Ghz. Intel core 2 some are 2corea at only 1.8. Is my processor not better than what they recommend? Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E4300 (2M Cache, 1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) I was thinking it was an and issue?? Dirty bird you using face track? Is there anyone using face teak with amd processor on fs9?
February 10, 201313 yr I have an AMD ATHLON II X2 P340 Dual Core 2.2 GHz (laptop) I did have facetracknoir before on a SINGLE CORE laptop, but if you would allow me 1-2 days (probably by tomorrow night) i'll go download the program and get it set up, and see if I can duplicate your problem. Just to make sure... being that I do have FS9 AND FSX installed, I'll try it with both programs and report back my findings (at least with my computer) You might just have something as simple as a bad / corrupt install and need to redownload / reinstall it. but don't uninstall it quite yet, let me see if I can get the same results first.
February 10, 201313 yr Author Awesome. Thanks and appreciated. One other thing I was thinking, did you have the registered version of FSUPIC ?
February 10, 201313 yr I do somewhere on my computer, but its not installed, ... what IS installed right now, is the UNregistered version. I just haven't gotten around to installing the registered version yet.
February 10, 201313 yr Author I have the unregistered version. From what I read it runs through FSUPIC. I was just wonderong if it needed the registered version that all..Thanks. I also read AMD processors will nor run as well as Intel because of SSL??? I have a post to ASUS to see if a Phenom II : X4 965 : AMD 3.4GHz : Four : 8MB : fits in my motherboard..If it does I am going to replace my CPU and see what happens. I will await your findings first though. Thanks again
February 10, 201313 yr Findings, FTNIR does work with FSX, A bit jerky.. but it does work. (might be my processor, or other hardware factors: memory, only having 256mb of video memory, who knows) FTNIR is not able to control my FS9, but I do not get any errors. It just wont move the camera around. Might have something to do with my FSUIPC but not 100% sure as I have FS9 and FSX on the same drive, and FSUIPC can not really differentiate between the 2 programs where I want it to be. Suggest reinstall FSUIPC, and Reinstall FTNIR. at least for starters while you hear back from ASUS
February 10, 201313 yr Author I did reinstall ft noir last night. The head tracking software faceapi did not give you the processor error??mu gpu is an nvidia 640oc with 2gb memory. I don't think that should be a problem.
February 10, 201313 yr nope, not at all. i just installed the main program and off I went. http://sourceforge.n...60.zip/download
February 10, 201313 yr Author Hmm weird. That is in fs9 correct. If so then it must be something with my drivers or setup. What camera are you using?
February 10, 201313 yr laptop installed (1.3M HD Webcam) other computer specs to the left under MY PC
February 17, 201313 yr Author Finally got it going. Posted at Facetrak Noir help site as well and they suggested to install K-Lite codec mega pack and bingo all good. Thanks for your help Dirtybird, I do appreciate your help.I need to tweak it a bit to slow it down. Looking forward to using it. Cheers Richy PS: Called Asus and waited for over 1.5 hours for them to take my call and finally gave up.. I will try again when I am at home with speaker phone.. A call back feature would be nice..To big i guess..
