C-5 Galaxy and/or C-17 Globemster for FS2004?

Featured Replies

Since I fly the 747 cargo planes and the MD-11 cargo planes every once in a while I figured it would be fun to fly the military cargo jets. I was wondering if there is a good C-5 Galaxy and/or C-17 Globemaster available for FS2004?

There is a C5A for FS2002 that works well in FS9 - can't remember the .zip name but a library search should find it.Dave

alphasim has a nice looking C-141, its payware though, 14 bucks, but has a VC! Unfortunately I haven't found what you are looking for that work with FS9, hopefully somebody will make either or and include a vc as well

Are you part of a VA? it would be fun to do a mock mission. You are wise to seek this extraordinary AC.I know there is a C-17 and a c-5 they exhibit some problems on my fs9 system as they are or may be fsds 1 models. FS9 does not fully support them. The c-5 galaxy looks, not to scale to me, but otherwise is a good c-5. Dynamics are ok, so it doesn't fly like a cessna. The C-17 globemaster's is a keeper for sure the wheels do not rotate in fs9 as in rolling wheels they do turn as in turn left. I have heard of fs9 user whom can not use this Ac at all, as in it won't load. If you get a message asking to disable features say no. it will draw the wheels but no animation in rollling. Also the engine fans don't rotate but its locked in the fast texture and it is blurry enough that you don't notice cool huh? I use a sound set that make this craft to die for. Also I will put a link to a panel that is sufficient for AC systems. I read a post that the original creator of the c-17 file is recreating in gmax and is finishing the vc. his current work at a commercial venue keeps him very busy. his work is awesome, and awe inspiring. I have taken up designing a few craft because of his work inspiring me to do so. His name is Owen Hewitt. The C-17 was a colaboration of authors of fs aircraft. I need to mention this AC works perfectly in fs2002.here is a address for the c-17.http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=20510here is a good 747 panelhttp://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=22601I'll update with good sound link also. can't seem to find.I found a easy page with a new c-5 I haven't tried check it outhttp://www.fsdownload.com/modules.php?name..._op=MostPopularthe readme I believe has the names of creator's name in it also.
