MD11 want boot up

Featured Replies

Sirs

OS is Win7 64 bit Ultimate

I reinstalled Win7 and FSX on a new drive. I have installed the PMDG 737NG series and they all work fine. Other aircraft that I have installed work fine.

I installed the MD11 and when I try to boot up the MD11 I get a "fatal error". I click ok on the window that comes up and FSX reboots. I installed the MD11 with administrative rights.

Help please

Tom

I am not 100% sure if my answer will help you coz i am also new with the MD 11 , But i can tell you from My Last experience that Having the 737 ngx and the MD11 together will cause problems in almost every thing from Loading fsx to flying to every thing ... the Best thing is to uninstall one of them .. of course some other members might disagree with me and that is Fin with me Because i am still New and learning but this is what i Have experience ,, and by uninstalling one of them every thing will work fine

2 More things Please make sure you have the Update for the Aircraft you choose to fly and there is a trick i learned here on the site and specially for 64 bit users ( Go to the Hard drive you have fsx on right click and go to properties and choose security tap and give every user full control over this drive ) or you can do this just for FSX and MD11 what ever you Like

also always run as AMIN your fsx

I also Have 64 O7

One more thing i have read also on our site if one of these Aircraft's is not registered to you and not patch this will make the problem worse :)

Good Luck

I think I remember replying to this once before and the topic was deleted. It may be because you didn't use your full name in your signature.

Is FSX installed in the "Program Files x86" folder? If so, install it elsewhere.
