Cleared assign approach sintax

Featured Replies

Hello, Folks

I hope that you are fine. I use the MCE for, at least, 1 year and I can say this program is simply wonderful.

I experienced almost all commands with ATC and all works fine for me, except one: the cleared approach.

After all vectors to final approach, the last vector is to intercept the final course and there the controller clear some approach procedure for landing (ILS, VOR, Visual and etc...).

There start my problem. I read the manual and I always answer the authorization with something like "Cleared ILS approach runway 15, Tam 3331", but nothing happen.

The strange is that if I say "expect ILS approach runway 15" instead of the existing in the manual, the MCE accept and I can contact the tower frequency on sequence.

The question is: How Can I speak for acknowledge the clear approach procedure?

Thanks a lot in advance

So, we would be happy to know what the syntax is ...

I have the same problem ( using STAR approaches with PFE accordingly) , I am asked by the approach controler to contact tower when established, so I tune Tower and say: "X" Tower, "aircraft identification" , established runway "Y" ; and the tower NEVER answers to me...

Try any of these...

Tower, "aircraft identification" , established on the localizer runway "Y"

Tower, "aircraft identification" , established on localizer runway "Y"

Tower, "aircraft identification" , established on ILS runway "Y"

Tower, "aircraft identification" , established localizer runway "Y"

Tower, "aircraft identification" , established ILS runway "Y"

Tower, "aircraft identification" , established final runway "Y"

Tower, "aircraft identification" , established on runway "Y"

Will add even more flexibility in next update. Among other things your variation (Tower, "aircraft identification" , established runway "Y") will be accepted in the future.
