February 14, 201313 yr Hi everyone, I recently (November) built my very first gaming desktop My specs are: intel i7 3770K AMD Radeon HD 6790 (I could of gotten a better graphics card but someone gave it to me as a gift maybe ill change in the coming months..) 16gb dd3 ram Gigabyte motherboard 650psu I have my cpu running at the default 3.5ghz because I don't know how much or how to overclock it.. I also am running this desktop with 3 screens. 2 30 inch Viewsonic monitors on the side & 40 inch samsung monitor in the middle.
February 15, 201313 yr You don't say what your motherboard is, in your shoes I would be googling "overclocking 3770k on" followed by your motherboard make and model, otherwise post back here with the relevent info and I'm sure someone will try to assist.
February 16, 201313 yr Overclock is done somewhat easier nowadays, but still takes a good read and a clear head. And for overclock you´ll need some decent cpu cooling, high end air cooler or out-of-the-box water cooler, and your case needs to be well ventilated too. "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
