February 18, 201313 yr If you do a reinstall, reformat the drive first to get rid of any lurking virus. Know what you mean. Can't even count anymore the number of times Ive reinstalled FS9 or now FSX. Sometimes you get lucky! Your Right, lol its been a while since i installed FS9 on this machine and id hate to start over lol although i do have FS9 on a separate Extended partition meaning i can just format and install windows on the Master Boot Partition and still have FS9 the way it is. I s the Registry files for the payware aircraft's and Scenery's that im worried about. After formatting and re-installing i would have to Re install all the payware stuff that has registry entries and i really want to avoid that if you know what i mean lol
February 18, 201313 yr If this happens often enough its worth buying one of those utility programs like Acronis that lets you save an entire HD and then clone it on another formatted HD without having to reinstall everything. Ron W
