Rolls Royce Spey-511 engine sounds for BAC 1-11

FS2004 - Flightdeck or wing and external views

FSX - Flightdeck or wing and external views, ai traffic

This video depicts the true sounds of the Spey-506 & -511 engines which powered the BAC 1-11-200 /-300 /-400 series, they were loud inside the passenger cabin if you were sitting towards the rear of the aircraft, and ear thrashing on the outside.

Camera shots from wingview, the flightdeck, exterior and some ai traffic.

Superb stuff! Are you able to tell me where to get these from?! Also in FSX do you know how to start engines in FSX as its a known big you can't start them without doing control + E?

Hey Thx... they'll be available over the next few days.

About engine startup in FSX, have a look at David Maltby's forum http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=24145

Lots of info about it and when you scroll down eventually to the last page, you'll see 2 cab files which you can download, he has changed the codes and now it work in FSX.

Oh really?! Fantastic! I never knew he did that. I will do that later on this evening. Thank you! Also will you be doing the -500 series?

Strange. After I stalling the new cab file. It still doesn't work?

From David Maltby's post which required changing the data in both "PROCESSING.xml" and "APU_STARTER.xml" and then recompiled back into the cab file.

I've uploaded my own modified cab file if you wish to download it and now should work for yours as well.

Okay lovely, so this new cab will sort it?

Yes it works fine for me to start both engines seperately, however still not working for the apu startwer unless I use Ctrl+E.

Just make sure to backup your original cab file just in case.
