September 6, 200421 yr Hi,folks, I have built my own airport on a flat area of land using AFCAD and have to keep the autogen slider all the way off to keep it from being covered with trees and buildings. Is there a way to get rid of autogen objects in a small area? Thanks, JamesJ
September 6, 200421 yr You might want to try over in the Scenery Design forum, where this thread will undoubtedly end up anyway..Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
September 7, 200421 yr James,I have run across a small program that builds what are called "excludes" that can get rid of the autogen items in question. Problem is, I don't remember quite where I downloaded it, but I can e-mail it to you if you wish.Kevin
September 7, 200421 yr James,Figured out today just where that program resides. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it at Avsim, but I've found it at Flightsim.com under the name bgltkit0.zip. It was written by Ian J. Donohoe - the author of ADE98, for those who remember him. You'll need to have VB40032.DLL, available here, present in the folder in which the .bgl toolkit resides, and you'll be ready to start building excludes. :-)Hope all is well,KevinBy the way, excludes (by their nature) are bounded by northwest and southeast extremes and are considered squares as their boundary lines are drawn on true meridians and parallels (true NW-NE, true NE-SE, true SE-SW, true SW-NW). You'll get the hang of it; it doesn't take long at all. If you have any problems, PM me, and we'll work it out together.
