hi,i am wondering if anyone knows of a way for ai traffic to stop vanishing when it has to wait in one place for traffic to exit runways etc.they always vanish when the other aircraft is almost clear.thanks for any info.

It depends on where they are waiting. One excellent and easy AFCAD design method to minimize this problem is to use the 'crossing diamond' method discussed prominently at the PAI AFCAD forum.With the 'diamond' inserted at the problem crossing point the taxiing AC will not wait at the runway to be crossed but cross it immediately. Depending on where on the runway it is inserted you occasionally get a near miss on landings and takeoffs, but it is well worth it.

I just checked and the technique isn't so prominently displayed anymore. It used to be a sticky but has been moved to the FAQ section under the heading:'Fix for aircraft getting stuck after landing trying to cross active runway'This technique gives a big return for very little effort.
