March 16, 201313 yr I purchased and installed the SSTSIM into FS9 last week and it appears that now every time I start ASv 6.5, after starting FS, it tells me that FS9 is not loaded. Not sure if the reason is the SSTSIM but the timing would certainly suggest that it might be. Oh and I also installed the Civa upgrade and Civa 5.1. What changed? Anyone ever hear of this happening? I would pose this question on the SSTSIM forum but they aren't exactly falling all over themselves to validate my registration , so I'm unable to access their protected forums at this time. Any constructive ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill Alderson
March 17, 201313 yr Make sure you have the latest version of FSUIPC for FS9 installed. Your copy may have been over-written by one of these add-ons.
March 17, 201313 yr Author Thanks JIm. As a matter of fact, one of the uploads did change my FSUIPC to an earlier version. One would think that, after all these years, I would know enough by now to check that. Just goes to show... Anyway, I fixed that problem but, unfortunately the problem I'm having with ASv not finding FS still persists. Is there something in the FS9.cfg that I need to check? Thanks again Bill Alderson
March 17, 201313 yr Author What is the exact message? Nothing in the FS9.cfg file needs to be changed. This is the message that I get in the lower window: FS is not yet connected - Default 0/0 coordinates have been loaded... Please load a flight plan (New Route) to set proper location... FS is indeed running and minimized and I never had to enter a flightplan before. Bill Alderson
March 18, 201313 yr Author Hi Jim, As far as I can tell FSUIPC is loaded correctly. It shows the latest version number (3.99b) that I have loaded and my name is listed as the registered owner and all my settings seem to be correct. For what it's worth Jim, I'm beginning to think that the problem may not be ASv but that it might be with STTSIM. I have REX and tried loading the wx generator and I seem to be getting the same thing; it keeps loading KSEA weather and going to sleep, as if FS isn't even loaded. I think I may have to see if I can wake someone up over at the SSTSIM forum and see if we can resolve this situation. If that doesn't work, I don't think I have any other choice but to pull Concorde out of FS. UPDATE: I removed SSTSIM out and it seems that ASv works just fine now. Now if I can only find a live body over at STTSIM. Thanks again, Bill Alderson
