Prop controls moving, why?

Featured Replies

I thought I would ask here if anyone knows or has experienced movement in there throttle controls. When I am flying FS2004 I get spikes or jumps in the Throttle, Prop and Mixture controls. Visually you see the controls jump and sometimes they will move a little. Especially the Prop Pitch. I was hopeing someone might know a fix to this. Thanks allMitch

Might be your joystick. If you have FSUIPC try >>Control Spike Elimination<<. I don't now if this is available in the freeware version.Alex

I have a registered version of FSUIPC, how ever the Control Spike Elimination appears to be just for the Flight controls. Alileron,Elevator and Rudder.ThanksMitch

Yep, you are right.Sorry.Alex

Since you have a registered version, have you calibrated those controls in FSUIPC?? I did, works wonders, no spikes at all. HTH,Paul

Could be a bad/dirty potnometer (SP) in your stick/throttle.XP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 2x512MBGeForce FX 5700 256MB (56.72)SB AudigyMSFF2 & X45 throttleSee you in the fence...CYYZ

Have you got a joystick plugged in at the same time? That'll be the problem if you have. I can't have my FF2 plugged into the USB hub at the same time as my yoke without getting strange things happening.Allcott

True, if he has two axis assigned to the throttle on two different sticks could also be the culprit.XP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 2x512MBGeForce FX 5700 256MB (56.72)SB AudigyMSFF2 & X45 throttleSee you in the fence...CYYZ
