March 19, 201313 yr How does saving with the NGX go when you reload it? Does it reload in the exact panel state after the 20s of hand flying I guess?

An I right that there is a programme that can save at different time intervals? To save me some annoyance when my machine throws a wobbly?

Thanks C Parker
March 19, 201313 yr FSUIPC has an autosave function which I use. Havent had a CTD when flying the NGX in a while, but when I did and used the latest auto save, the NGX seems to do a real good job loading up the panel state. You just have to survive that period when the plane is loading. FSUIPC can also autosave when you quit FSX, which I actually use all the time. I tend to always fly where I want to go. So if I want to fly in Hawaii, I dont just load my plane in Hawaii, I will actually plot routes to Hawaii, I actually want to go to a place inside the sim, so my log is fairly continuous. Sometimes I break that, but not often. And so when I quit FSX, and FSUIPC creates that autosave on sim quit, I will then load that up, then adjust the time of the sim and then continue my journey, and the panel is pretty much just how I left it. There is one thing that the NGX does not seem to deal with though, and that is Alternate Destinations. If you go on a long flight and load up your alternates in the FMS, they will carry over. On your next flight however, if you delete say...4 of them and then go with only 1 on your next flight....when you load the NGX again, you will see that 1 new one, but you will see 3 old ones. The NGX doesnt seem to carry over deleting an alternate. Not a big deal, but it is a rough edge.
